Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream at Venice Theater

Join me at Venice Theatre from March 15 – April 8, 2018 where I’ll be playing Titania, Queen of the Fairies, in one of Shakespeare’s most loved comedies, “Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Jay Handelman, Arts Editor of the Sarasota Herald Tribune called our production “colorful and inventive” and goes onto say,  “they create a sense of adventure and playfulness that perfectly suits the play”.

It’s a thrill for me to return to the theater where I was honored to play Anna in “King and I” and Eliza in “My Fair Lady”. This will also be a new experience for me as we’re performing in-the-round in the more intimate Pinkerton Stage. The setting is magical and mischievous thanks to scenic designer Tim Wisgerhof and the costumes designed by Meg Ferguson are equally imaginative. This is also my first production with the award-winning director Murray Chase who is VT’s Artistic Director and playing opposite the talented Douglas Landon, as Oberon.

The show runs Tues. – Sat. at 8 p.m. and Sun. at 2 p.m.Visit VeniceStage.com to learn more and purchase tickets.
